Ross Barber Wedding Photography Terms & Conditions

The following is a list of standard terms and conditions used by photographers, these are provided in the interests of both the client and the photographer. Please read and accept these terms before placing your booking.

The purpose of the booking fee is to secure the photographer for a particular time and date. It is also to cover administration costs. It therefore cannot be refunded or transferred in the event of cancellation by the client. The booking fee also includes an element of £250 to cover loss of earnings in the event of a cancellation.

Full payment of the remaining balance is required no later than 30 days before the wedding.

Payment may be made by cash, bank transfer or cheque which should be made payable to Ross Barber Photography only. Funds will be considered to have been received only when clear funds have appeared in the photographers bank account.

All prices are fixed based on rates applicable at the time of booking.

In the event of cancellation by the client, up to £250 will be returned in full, in the event of an alternative booking being made.

In the unlikely event that the photographer is forced to cancel this contract any liability for whatever reason will not exceed and be limited to the value of monies paid to date.

The ‘1988 copyright, designs & patents act’ assigns the copyright to the photographer unless agreed otherwise in writing. It is understood that images taken under this contract may on occasions be used for advertising, display, competition or any other purposes thought proper by the photographer without compensation or liability to the contracting party.

High resolution image files are provided to the client for their personal use only and are supplied with the ‘right to print’.

It is agreed that it is the sole responsibility of the client to backup, keepsafe and store the supplied images. No liability can be held for loss or damage to image files after delivery to the client.

It is agreed that the photographer shall be the sole professional stills photographer on the wedding day. Although the photographer will actively encourage the use of cameras throughout the wedding it is agreed that the photographer shall reserve the right to ask guests to refrain from taking photographs in the event that their activities are corrupting the official photography in any way. For example flashes, obstruction or distractions etc.

When possible the photographer will work with the client to find the most suitable locations for both background content and quality of lighting however it is agreed that the photographer shall be granted full creative and artistic licence regarding locations, poses and groups. The photographer’s final judgement on photographic style, allocated time and the number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct. Due to changes of the weather and the availability and willingness of subjects, the photographer will do his best to honour requested photographs but does not undertake to or guarantee any specific picture nor incorporate any specific background, location or arrangement.

All albums in wedding packages must be ordered in the same calendar year that the wedding takes place otherwise a surcharge may apply to cover costs incurred by album manufacturers increasing prices.
