Yesterday I had a great time spent with Klynda and Ken for their engagement shoot.  Klynda is studying for a Phd in Marine Biology in Ohio and Ken, a graduate from Ohio University is on secondment in Manchester!  They spent time last year in Edinburgh and loved it, so it was natural that they should want their engagement pictures done here.  Ken proposed shortly after learning of his transfer to the UK and they get together when their respective studies and schedules allow. Today I met up with Kirsty and Kieron at Sherbrooke Castle for a pre wedding shoot.  They are getting married there on the 31st July and we thought it would be a good idea to meet up there for a look around.  Unfortunately the weather was pretty poor which meant we couldn't use the grounds, however, it did give us the opportunity to create some interesting shots inside the Hotel.  Kirsty and Kieron were great to work with and were both interested in trying to create some out of the ordinary images. I had a great day today with Rachael and Bryan for their pre wedding shoot.  They will be married at Crear in Argyll later on in the Summer.  It was great to finally meet Bryan after so many emails, the two of them met while Bryan was running a Hotel in Argyll.  Rachael has family in the area and ended up working for him during summer holidays from University.  they both studied at Glasgow uni so it was appropriate the shoot took place nearby. Yesterday I did a pre wedding shoot with Aisha and Azeem at Lennoxlove House, East Lothian in preparation for their wedding at the beginning of July.  I first met Azeem at his sister's wedding last year at Harburn House, which was one of the best weddings I have ever attended.  The party spirit was amazing and as one of Azeem's Uncles told me "all without a drop of alcohol!!"  Aisha and Azeem will be having the Nikka part of the ceremony in Cardiff and then the cake cutting and party at Lennoxlove. Today I was in the company of an amazing family, The Corri's.  Jenni and Bern married today at Castle Venlaw, in Peebles in a very emotional ceremony, Jenni's 8 year old daughter Sophie has in Jenni's words 'severe learning difficulties, cerebral palsy and behavioural problems.  She is a star and I have no doubt if you are to meet her you would fall in love - but she also can be stubborn and will get on the floor when she's not doing what she wants! '  Well she was a star and so was Jack, their 18 month old who delivered the rings.  The day also happened to Bern's 50th birthday so it was a day full...

Bev and Chris Young-Smith at The Newton Hotel, Nairn. I was priviledged to be part of Bev and Chris's wedding yesterday at The Newton Hotel in Nairn. Though it was November the weather was fantastic and allowed us to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.  Though it was cold Bev, was not for getting covered up, we kept the shoot short and sharp before heading back up the hill to the Hotel. They had a fantastic day surrounded by friends and family with dancing going on into the small hours.   Below are some of their and my favourite images.
